Sherston Allotments are a collection of plots owned by Sherston Parish Council, leased to parishioners for a nominal sum, for the cultivation of vegetables and flowers. Until recently the allotments were leased by Sherston Parish Council from Wiltshire Council, although in 2025 the ownership was transferred to the parish council, securing it’s future for the benefit of the village.
Located on Knockdown Road with pedestrian access from Green Lane and Manor Close, the allotments are subdivided into 38 plots ranging in size from 31 to 130 m2. There is a healthy waiting list of keen gardeners, and if you wish to join this list and live in the parish, please contact the Parish Clerk at pyrex@furefgba.bet.hx or 07349 296639
Allotments are also seen now as a more sustainable way of providing our food. Home grown is much more environmentally friendly and by-passes many of the carbon heavy supply routes
