Our Stewards

The Parish Council’s own maintenance crew are responsible for the recreation ground, the play equipment, the sports field and the hedges around our allotment. They also cut back vegetation along our footpaths, sweep and weed our pavements, and maintain our benches and notice boards.

Wiltshire Council responsibilities include our roads, the road hedges and signs, and highways drainage. Wiltshire Council’s steward visits our parish most months and will undertake work including filling minor potholes, cutting back vegetation that is obscuring signs, pavements or their salt bins, and unblocking ditches and drains. Any bigger task such as replacing missing road signs, bigger potholes, road sweeping or drain unblocking needing a gully sucker, require notification to Wiltshire Council on the MyWilts website or app.
